Hey, my name is Carissa and I'm a junior at AAArt majoring in graphic design. My dream job is to combine my love of art a music. I really want to create band posters and other things that deal with both, but I have no clue where to start. Any and all advise you could give would be amazing. I would really love to be in your shoes down the line, but I have no clue how to get there. Thank much.
I’d start with a website. I couldn’t tell if you have one or not. If you do then put it out there for all to see. If you don’t they’re easy to make or you can hire/barter for a website. 99% of the folks who hit me up about designing rock posters don’t have a website. (They’re in love with the idea of doing posters but don’t seem to want to put in the effort. Fuck that shit!) Get a website. that’s the biggest hurdle. Hit me up after you do.
Brian Ewing (http://brianewing.tumblr.com/) reblogged my Brian Ewing post. that more than makes up for the joseph merrick style swelling around my jaw and the inability to move said jaw due to tooth extraction.

You should go to Dr. Sketchy's NYC! Drinking and drawing wooo!
If I wasn’t such a social retard then I would. Maybe after I get some bad drawing outta me then I’d be down. I need some art dorks to hang with so we motivate each other to go to this stuff. Like going to the gym but for nerds.
