My day so far…
And my weekend. Someone please send nekkid ladies and pizza. Cuz there’s no rest for the retarded. I got hit up to do a project that kinda has me all giddy. It’ll be right up there with the Decendents poster I did. So now I have sketches for that due Monday and an insane deadline by Friday.
This sketch is a 3rd idea for an art print thingamabob in collaboration with a publisher in London. They sent me a brief of what they were looking for and cited specific pieces I’ve done that they liked. I wish more clients would do that.
I tried working on it last night but the proportions looked all wonky. I try to be honest with myself when something isn’t working. Hence the ghost drawing towards the left of the photo. Wasn’t working so I erased it and moved on instead of trying to breathe life into a crappy sketch.
After all is said and done I’ll have 3 ideas to present. Only 1 will be chosen which leaves me 2 ideas to use at some other point. Save your sketches!
I’m a bit spread thin but will have some cool stuff to show for it over the next couple of months. I know I know - famous last words…
Oh yeah and I’ll be lecturing at CCAD on March 12th.
