Another exciting night…at Chez Ewing.
I’ve never had to draw the bones of the feet before. That shit ain’t easy. I have a big-assed anatomy book and it’s heavy and takes up a lot of space. So I just scan the pages I need, mirror them so I can see what the right and left sides will look like and then print them out. It saves me time and space on my drawing table.
Not feeling too hot today. Slept for crap. Ugh…in zombie-mode.
I (sorta) feel bad for answering that question the way I did in my last post. But sometimes tough love is the best love. And I’ve been asked that question a million times.
When I was getting started most artists didn’t have websites or email addresses. So the questions I had were answered by just jumping in, making mistakes and doing it. You learn more and you learn faster. And when I did have a chance to sit down and talk to artists ( I looked up to ) I was able to get some very insightful advice from them. They saw my dedication and were happy to show me how they work because I had already answered all the basic stuff myself.
Don’t get me wrong…I’m stoked that people take the time to hit me up with questions. I try to answer them when I can. But some stuff you can answer yourself faster by just observing and jumping in head first with no parachute. Stick with it for a few years and you’ll understand where I’m coming from with all this rambling.
I need sleep.
